We spent a lovely Christmas at Garden Cottage. It is perfectly situated off a lovely high street and the train station is a 15 minute walk away with regular trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The cottage itself is clean, with comfortable beds and so cosy. I would definitely return in the future.

Loved the cottage. The main bedroom was a little tight however. What a lovely cosy well equipped cottage and our hosts were most helpful. Loved the living room on the first floor and the view.

Garden cottage is a spacious well decorated and well equipped holiday home. It also has well maintained garden areas The owners had clearly put in a lot of effort to make our stay a memorable one with some nice unexpected touches Nearby are a good selection of restaurants takeaways and pubs The local area has some great walks and the local railway station is a short walk for travel to Edinburgh, Glasgow and further afield We had a great relaxing few days and would highly recommend

Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. Good location Easy access to Glasgow and Edinbrough. My only personal downside was the number of steps to and inside the cottage but on saying that this gave us a fantastic view from the cottage.

We are repeat guests at Garden Cottage and it is always superb in its degree of comfort, its equipment, its location adjacent to the High Street yet set within greenery, the selection of books provided, the fresh flowers on the table, and last but not least the welcome and support by Thom and Clare. Thom's conversion of the building has created wonderful views to the historic skyline. We will particularly remember watching the moon rise over Linlithgow Palace. We return to this fine town often to visit our young family here and find plenty to do without venturing far afield; but excellent rail and road transport links must make this also a good base for those wishing to visit Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Central Belt attractions, the Trossachs and the shores of the Forth.

Garden Cottage was everything it promised. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Lots to do and see and friendly locals! For those that enjoy walking not only do you have the beautiful Loch a stones throw away but also a walk along the canal and back along the river brings you out by the Bridge Inn, also to be recommended. Trains and buses nearby run regularly. So much to see and do we could really have done with another week!

The cottage ist cozy, clean, well-equipped - easy organisation by the owners. Due to the location actually inmidst a garden one has nice views and also onto the palace of Linlithgow. Plenty of things to do in the area. We were there without a car, but by bus and train it's easy to get around and if not, Mike's Taxi is a wonderful alternative.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Cottage. The hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Everything you need is within walking distance, whether it's the train to central Edinburgh, the walk around the local Loch or shops and restaurants. There was plenty to do and our stay was in such a quaint and comfortable setting. Would highly recommend Garden Cottage!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impresed with how spotlesly clean everything was. The decor was fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together, making the space feel welcoming and comfortable. The cottage had absolutely everything we neededfrom kitchen esentials to little extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. We were especially impresed with how well equipped it was; clearly a lot of care and attention has gone into making sure guests have everything they might need. The owners were also extremely responsive and helpful, making the whole experience seamles from booking to check-out. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, hasle-free getaway.

The location of the cottage is amazing with views of linlithgow palace from the living area the train station is only a short walk which has regular trains to edinburgh and lots of other places to visit. The locals where friendly and our hosts where very welcoming. There is plenty of places to eat out and plenty of shops in the local area. It is a beutiful place to visit with some of the most amazing views. We where advised in one of the antique shops to visit Doune antique center which was only 30 minute drive if you like that thing definitely worth a visit 9 months ago Share Karen Third Party Verified Perfect in every way! Lovely quirky cottage, comfortable. Lots of steps up to cottage, which were a little difficult for me. Beds comfortable, everything you could want. Garden very pretty, lots of spring colour. Good to meet Thom and learn a little of the history of the building. My second time staying there. Handy for train to Edinburgh, had afternoon tea in The Dome, beautiful. Falkirk wheel and Kelpies worth visiting.Mannerston's, next to Caulders garden centre very good food, delicious gluten free options.

Lovely, light and airy. Fantastic location, lacking a few things such as oven and hot water on demand - boiler definitely needs updating. Hosts were great and the house was spotless.

A gorgeous cottage,. Clare & Thom have thought of everything guests would need to make it home from home. We were left to our own devices & bumped into Clare & Thom on passing, who are really lovely & on hand should you need anything. The garden is kept well too, with lots of flowers, making a welcoming entrance to the cottage. It's a very short walk to local shops, restaurants, takeaways, the loch & the train station. It takes approximately 16 minutes to travel to Edinburgh by train, £20 return for two people. I would highly recommend this little gem of a cottage!

The property is fantastic - beautiful, quirky historical home with excellent views and close to the towns amenities. Thomas (the owner of the property) was very helpful and welcoming. Communication with Cottages was appalling - they took ages to reply and when they did, their responses didnt answer my queries. Their helpline number is not available to overseas callers - I wouldnt book through Cottages again.
